UK TV/Radio coverage FAQ
Links & Info
|
- Pubs that show football
- By no means exhaustive! - but could be handy for finding Pubs with
Sky Digital and ITVDigital. We don't bother listing those that just
have the regular Sky Sports channels. If you can't find one of them,
you should get out more.
- FiveLive
- The BBC's sport+news radio station
- Champs League page
- Includes info on how to get Arsenal matches on your telly
- Arsenal LIVE
- an ArseWeb page with details
of how to follow Arsenal live over the Internet (IRC, ICQ, Live Radio feeds,
live commentary web pages, etc)
- List of SKY games
- List of forthcoming games from the Sky web site.
Be warned - they don't always keep this page as up-to-date as they should.
Absence of a match from the list doesn't necessarily mean they're
not showing it! If you get Sky, try their teletext service
(page 243), apparently it seems to get
updated before anything else.
Also, note that they keep changing the URL, so the above link might
not work. If this is the case, go to
their home page, follow
the link to "Football", and look for a link to "TV", "LIVE", "SKY LIVE", or something like that.
28/06/99 here's a
pre-season article from the Sky site about their
initial selection of games for live coverage (up to the turn of the year).
- SatFootball.com
- Comprehensive independent site with satellite listings.
- ITV Football schedule
- The next week's football on ITV1 and ITV Sport
- ITV Sport channel
- From ITVdigital.
Includes This schedule page
- Ondigital Champions League schedule. Again, it's only for the current week. Anyone know
of a more forward-looking page of ITVsport fixtures?
-
- The Radio Times
- The site lets you customise it with your choice of channels, and go back to
search just those channels at a later date. Covers all channels.
- ITV
- Probably the safest bet for checking ITV regional variations.
- SceneOne (the new name for toaster)
- Listings
for all UK TV channels (including satellite & cable)
- UK Peak time tv guide
- For a quick look at peak-time schedules, 7 days at a time.
- Getting RTL on a Sky box
- The German channel RTL (which sometimes shows key games which
aren't available in the UK) can be picked up anywhere in Europe
if you
have a Sky box. Just align to Astra at 19.2 and follow these
instructions.
- Getting other channels on a Ski DigiBox
- Some channels that aren't automatically added can be received through a
Sky Digibox by manual tuning.
Follow these linsk for lists and instructions for
Astra satellite channels
and
Eurobird satellite channels
