Arsenal Ticket Registration Scheme 1997-98

If you have any questions about the working of the TRS... direct them to the club. Everything ArseWeb knows about the scheme is on this page. These details were originally taken from the matchday programme for Arsenal vs Leicester 12/04/97, and updated as we find new things to put here. Things may well have changed without us hearing. The club claims to put a limit on the number of people in the TRS, so you won't necessarily find that they're accepting applications at the moment.

We've had very mixed reports about the TRS, ranging from people who find it hasn't helped at all to those for whom it's made getting to most home matches a real possibility. Some people find that they can't get a ticket, others that they're able to get more than one (it's supposed to be just 1 per TRS membership). What does seem clear is that the demand for tickets is so high these days that being on the TRS is a virtual necessity if you're to have any chance at all.
In response to demand from Arsenal fans without season tickets, who have been finding it harder and harder to get tickets for home matches over the last few seasons, the club have decided to reintroduce a Ticket Registration Scheme for next season.

To join the scheme you should ring the box office on 0171-704-4040 for an application form.

The details as we have them are as follows:

  • Cost: £20 for adults (see below for kids scheme)
  • Benefits: discount of £1 off every ticket you buy through the scheme for FA Premier League Games.
  • You must quote your TRS number to get the discount (yes, even to Ticketmaster)
  • Only one ticket per TRS number, and also any one person may tender no more than 4 TRS numbers (ie you can book a group of 4 seats together if one person buys them using all 4 numbers).
  • In addition there will be special TRS arrangements for the following matches:
    Tottenham
    Newcastle
    Liverpool
    Chelsea
    Man United
    • Tickets for these games will not be sold to personal callers to the ground at all (to prevent massive queues). Only postal and telephone applications will be accepted.
    • Two months before the match, tickets for matches will go on sale to TRS members (and, presumably, bond holders) only.
    • If there are tickets left one month before the match, they will then go on general sale.

  • Having a TRS number does not guarantee a ticket. [ArseWeb is guessing that if demand for big-match tickets is too high even for just the TRS members, preference will be given to those who've used their TRS number the most times that season]
  • All telephone applications incur a booking fee.
  • Application forms available from the Box Office (0171 704 4040).
  • Enquiries to 01782 741 997.
  • Season ticket holders remain unaffected.
  • The club have said that for kids, membership of the Junior Gunners will count as equivalent to TRS membership for grown-ups I assume that this means with respect to ticket availability for the big matches. Presumably the pricing for Junior Gunners' tickets will stay as it is)
