Cybury Gooners, formed in the summer of 1995, is a soccer team made up of members of the Arsenal FC e-mailing list. We're all supporters of North London's finest footie team, but players have come from as far as the USA, Sweden, Ireland (North, South and 'um, my granny was Irish'), Nigeria, Zimbabwe, France and Canada to play in the sacred red and white shirts.

We are the reigning national champions of Internet Football, having won the WorldNet 99 tournament, held in Leicester in July 1999. Although Arsenal themselves aren't especially bothered about our existence, we are very grateful to our kit suppliers - Nike.

The Management would love to hear from any other teams who would like to take on the National Champions.

98/99 SEASON REVIEW
A strong finish to the PSINet League season earned us a position as seeds for WorldNet, but left us regretting an early defeat by QPR and a draw at Luton.

CYBURY'S FIRST TROPHY
Cybury won its first piece of silverware in June 1999, after a string of fine performances in a tournament organised by Crewe, but held in Islington??

THE OFFICIAL CLUB HISTORY
We didn't get where we are today by stuffing Spurs every time we play them - just a moment... ah, that's exactly how we got here.
