Notes

  • All evening kick-offs at Highbury this season are at 8.00pm
  • All rounds are one-legged except for round 2 (which we missed, see below), and the semi-finals.
  • There are no replays. If scores are level at the end of 90 minutes there will be 15 minutes each way extra time followed by a penalty shoot-out.
  • Arsenal entered at round 3, missing the 2-legged stage along with the other clubs involved (then, at least!) in European competitions.

Semi-finals

Played over two legs. First leg week beginning January 26th, second leg week beginning February 16th. Arsenal are at home on Wednesday 28th January, the return leg at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday 18th February. Both legs will be shown live on Sky TV.

Round 3

Arsenal have been drawn at home to Birmingham City, the match to be played at Highbury on Tuesday October 14th (not Wednesday 15th).

Birmingham came through the last round with a 5-3 aggregate win over Stockport County. They won the first leg 4-1 at St Andrews and lost the second 2-1. The official web site includes an editorial attack on their own fans who stayed away in their thousands from the home leg. Only 4000 turned up.
