Arsenal in Europe 1996-97
The UEFA Cup
Contents
Matches:
Tuesday September 10th Arsenal (0) 2 - 3 (1) Gladbach (7.15PM)
Wednesday September 25th Gladbach (1) 3 - 2 (1) Arsenal (5.30PM)
Gladbach win 6-4 on aggregate
The away leg will be played at the Muengersdorfer Stadion in Cologne. Kick off
will be at 5.30 pm. This is local German time, corresponding to 4.30pm in
England. The match is not being shown on television in England (see
below, scandalously
it seems there might not even be a highlights programme. However people with
satellite dishes will be able to pick it up live from Astra on German channel
ZDF. Apparently the
following onformation might be useful for picking up ZDF: Transponder 33,
Frequency 10,96425, Polarisation horizontal, Encoding PAL clear. Be warned -
they might switch to the Celtic-Hamburg game at some point.
We've now heard that SKY sports 3 will be showing the match
live. Presumably some pubs in the Highbury area will be open for it. Terry
Neill's Sports Bar (just off Holborn Viaduct) will be showing it too.
