Attendance Maybe 600/700

Probably a fair result as Rosenthal and Fox played well even though Fox spent most of the match screaming his head off.

Bergkamp's goal was a glorious free kick on the edge of the penalty area, the best man on the field. Hartson was back to normal, missing chance after chance.

Who is Arthur Petrosian? I presume he is either on trial or a secret acquisition of Arsene. He looks just like Ronny Rosenthal, only smaller and with a beard. He seems to play on the right wing although he spent this match anywhere forward of the back four.

I have to say that I was at the Swindon v QPR match last night meeting Stewart Houston, Bruce Rioch and sitting three seats away from the QPR chairman and four away from Brian Little. (watch out for transfer between QPR/Swindon and Aston Villa in the near future) and this was a much better match (predictable I suppose).

Bergkamp made all around him look like dross, at the beginning though after he scored he didn't really make a lot of effort. Rose made rather a lot of mistakes including giving the penalty away (I think) although it was subsequently saved by Harper. Arthur Petrosian was playing again, but still doesn't really shine although he did make a few nice runs. What perhaps is most worrying is that we played with a fairly strong team (6 have played at least one first team game this season) and did not really look like winning especailly in the second half.

On the upside - they were fairly awful and Fox in particular looked lucky to be playing for the reserves!

One other point - a lot of people post fantasy teams or talk about formations and players. If they are going to do this please get it right.i.e Clarke is a winger not a forward, McGowan a wingback not a centreback, merson an attacking midfielder who can play as striker and Bergkamp a STRIKER who can play as an attacking midfielder. Also if we pack the midfield with Bergkamp, Hughes, Merson etc then noone is ever going to win the ball back and our defence will be extremely tested.
