- Travel news
Please note that the warning previously published here about travel via
St Pancras is no longer valid. The engineering works which were
going to close the station for the day have been cancelled.
Many thanks to Mark Parsons for the original warning, and Peter
McDougall for letting us know about the change of plan.
- Arsenal team news
Sol Campbell has been back in training this week and could be in contention.
If Adams and Keown are both ok it seems unlikely that he'll be risked. But
Sol's only chance of playing for England against Greeece will be to play in
this game, so he'll be keen. And maybe Wenger will let him play, in order
to give one of the others a rest.
Edu and Dixon are still out.
There are reports that Seaman is out with a
sore shoulder. So Richard Wright is expected to make his Arsenal debut.
Ananova report that
Ray Parlour is out with a thigh injury picked up in Athens, and Bergkamp misses out having hurt an ankle in training.
Wenger has apparently said now that Campbell has no chance of
making the England-Greece game. He's definitely out tomorrow, so we
expect (and hope) that Matthew Upson will partner Martin Keown again.
- Derby_County team news
Skipper Craig Burley missed the Leeds game with a hamstring problem,
don't know yet if he's got a chance of making the Arsenal game.
Branco Strupar is also doubtful having been out for a long time, he's
close to a return but unblikely to make it for this game.
Poom, Carbonari, and
Eranio are all (more) definitely injured.
update Friday
Craig Burley is definitely out, according to
Sky Sports, with a virus.
Darryl Powell continues to deputise as captain.
Poom, Eranio, Strupar, and Carbonari all all confirmed as
absentees. Kinkladze is expected to return to the side.
