Arsenal (0) 3 - 1 (0) Chelsea
Highbury, Sunday 18th February 2001. kick-off 2pm
FA Cup 5th round
see list of links to reports on other sites/pages.
Preview
- Arsenal team news
Both Tony Adams and Ray Parlour will be suspended
for the game, having picked up bookings in the Coventry game 2
weeks ago. We can only hope that Keown and Grimandi
(or Edu will be available to cover).
update Wednesday
Having been rested on Tuesday, it seems fair to suppose that Bergkamp
will start alongside Henry. There's no guarantee though.
The big question is whether or not Martin Keown will
be back to play alongside Stepanovs in Adams' absence. No news
as yet. If he isn't fit, Grimandi or Luzhny will
partner Stepanovs. Wenger would presumably prefer to be able to play
Gilles in midfield, what with Parlour suspended. Silvinho is
still struggling so Ashley Cole is likely to continue his
extremely impressive run in the side.
Update Thursday
Apparently Keown and Silvinho are not going to be fit in time.
- Chelsea team news
Let's hope we see the Chelsea from the first half of their last trip to Highbury,
rather than the rather more dangerous side that came out after half-time
(see report).
Chelsea have added Mark Bosnich to their squad since we played
them last. I'm not sure if he's actually played yet.
