  • Arsenal team news
David Seaman and Tony Adams are expected to return to the side after injuries. Silvinho is also believed to have recovered from the knock that kept him out of the last 2 games, and Vieira also returns to the side.

    update Friday:
Not good news, David Seaman has picked up another injury and it's said he could be missing for another 3 weeks. Dave's over the shoulder injury, but has now sprained an ankle in training. Alex Manninger is still not back from his knee ligament problem, also dragging on, so it's young John Lukic between the sticks again. The doctor has cleared Alex to play, but the player feesl he's not regained enough fitness as yet.
Tony Adams has also suffered a setback, he hurt his thigh against Boro and could also be out for 3 weeks. Note that Tone and Dave are likely to both miss the start of the second stage of the Champs League. Lauren aggravated a knee problem against Shakhtar, and Pires is still out with his hamstring. So far it looks like Vieira and Grimandi will at least be returning to the midfield. Upson may get the nod as Admas' replacement, continuing his rehabilitation from that lengthy absence.

  • Derby_County team news
Rams' skipper Daryll Powell is also fit and available. There were doubts after he picked up a slight leg injury, limping off at half-time in the 0-0 draw at West Ham. Given that keeping a clean sheet against another bottm-of-the-table side was a result worthy of celebration in Derby, anything other than a convincing Arsenal win on Saturday will be somewhat disappointing.

Derby have striker Branko Strupar out having had a hernia op. Argentine defender Horation Carbonari had a similar op in the summer, missing their first 5 Premiership matches. When he did return he got sent off in successive games and then had an ankle injury. So the West Ham game was only his 4th start of the season ("only"?? sounds like he's done well to get that many!).
