- Silvinho went to Celta from Arsenal, when we got rid of him under peculiar circumstances back in 2001. They registered him as Brazilian (ie non-European), which didn't help to scotch the rumours that Arsenal sold him mainly because of worries about his dodgy Portuguese passport
- Argentine Arsenal player Nelson Vivas spent a season on loan at Celta in 1999-2000.
